Do I need to register an account to send or receive files?
No registration is required! QuickShare+ allows you to immediately share files (up to 50MB and 5 files per batch), text snippets, links, and markdown notes as a Guest. Anyone with the 8-character code or QR scan can view and download the content on any browser.
What file formats and types can I upload?
All file formats are supported! You can share HTML files, programming code (.js, .py, .php, .cpp, .sql), documents (.pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .pptx), media files (.mp4, .mp3, .png, .jpg, .webp), archives (.zip, .rar, .7z, .tar), apps (.apk), and any other file type.
How does multi-file batch upload work?
On the Free plan, you can select or drag & drop up to 5 files at once with a combined size limit of 50 MB. If you upload 1 file, the receiver downloads that exact file directly. If you upload multiple files, QuickShare+ bundles them into a clean
.zip package so the receiver gets all files in 1 click. Paid plans offer unlimited files per batch with up to 1GB or 5GB capacity.
Where are my files stored and when are they deleted?
Your files are held in secure temporary storage. Once the timer expires (3 hours for Free tier or 7 full days for Paid plans), our automated cleanup system permanently deletes the files and transfer records from the server.
Why was my "Recent Shares" list cleared in Guest mode?
In Guest mode, your recent transfer history is temporarily remembered in your browser session. If you clear your browser history or cache, your local list resets. However, your share remains active until its expiration time. Creating a free account permanently attaches your transfers to your account dashboard across all devices.
Can anyone access my shared files without the code?
No. Transfers are private and accessible only by entering the unique 8-character code or by scanning the associated QR code. File storage directories are isolated and protected against public browsing or indexing.
